spec_name: "Runway Aleph 2.0 in Figma Workflow"
version: 1.0
goal: "To use Runway Aleph 2.0 inside Figma to perform a common client video revision, like changing the background or visual style of a short video clip."
---

### Context
Runway's Aleph 2.0 model is now integrated into Figma Weave. This allows you to apply AI-powered video edits directly on the Figma canvas using reference images and text prompts. This spec outlines the workflow to test this capability and create a client-ready "before and after" example.

### Checklist: Your First Edit

1. [ ] **Select a Source Clip:** Choose a video clip (under 30 seconds) to edit. This can be existing client footage, a stock video, or a clip from your phone.
2. [ ] **Import to Figma:** Drag and drop the video file directly onto your Figma Weave canvas.
3. [ ] **Define the Change:** Decide on a specific, high-impact change you want to make.
    * [ ] Change the background environment (e.g., from an office to a forest).
    * [ ] Change the lighting (e.g., from daylight to golden hour).
    * [ ] Change the artistic style (e.g., from photorealistic to an oil painting).
4. [ ] **Create a Reference Image:** In Figma, create a small artboard next to your video. This is your reference.
    * For a background change, paste in an image of the target environment.
    * For a lighting change, create a color palette or find a photo with the exact mood lighting you want.
    * For a style change, find or create an image in the target style.
5. [ ] **Run Aleph 2.0:**
    * Select both your video clip and your reference image on the canvas.
    * Access the Runway Aleph 2.0 tool from the Figma Weave panel.
    * Use a text prompt to specify the edit.
6. [ ] **Review and Export:** Review the generated preview. If it looks good, export the final video clip. Create a side-by-side GIF to showcase the before/after result.
